In returning the enclosures
which accompanied your
letter of this date. I have the honour to remark, for the information of the Major General commanding that by
some misconception on the part of Mr Byham of my Letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications, the temporary Barracks on Artillery Hill at this Post have been mistaken for the Barracks at Stanley, I cannot however account for this, because
in my letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications, dated Victoria, 10th September last. No: 128, I have stated with reference to
my report of the Typhoon which took place
